Hi folks, joined the site today.

I have been eating low carb/Paleo for about 3 weeks now and really enjoying it, but I thought I would turbocharge it by combining with Fast-5, so here I am.

My main question is this. I intend doing this for as long as possible, in fact forever if I get on with it okay, but what happens if you fall out of it for a short period of time? For example, on St Patrick's weekend this year, March 17th, I will be going to Ireland to stay with friends from Friday to Monday. I'm afraid there is no way round it, I'll be eating a normal diet 3 times a day and drinking Guinness all weekend, so that means lots of carbs etc. This will only be a one off during the year, only 4 days of gluttony, so will it make a huge difference in the big picture? I will obviously put on some weight over these days, but do you think that when I come back and go straight back on to low carb/fast 5 I should go back into weight loss again?

Cheers

Pat

You can start and stop

You can start and stop whenever you want. That's the great thing about it. You may want to do it only on week days or 7 days a week except for special occasions. Or you may want to do a larger window that would include lunch and dinner such as noon to 7PM. You're not doing it now but starting so if you stop you can restart whenever you wish. You are in control.
