Fast-Fiver Comments
Because the Fast-5 Diet can be adopted as a lifestyle (a long term change) in addition to being a short-term fix, people who adopt the Fast-5 diet either way have come to be known as "Fast Fivers." Here's what Fast-Fivers have to say about the Fast-5 Diet and Lifestyle:
TC, Florida, 43, female (Maintaining using Fast-5)
I started this way of living in October 2005. I lost 20 lbs. The weight came off steadily. I believe I have hit my body's goal weight but I will let my body decide that. I plan to live this way forever. I recently told my daughter that if she put me in a nursing home in 40 years, she better make sure they cooperate with my Fast-5 plan. It is so freeing!

Fast-5 is the easiest meal/diet plan I have ever been a part of. The beginning may be difficult, but not really any more difficult then most calorie reduction plans. The difference is the simplicity and ease of maintenance. I decided not to set a goal weight but instead a goal size. I think my body knows how much I should weigh and I trust that. I reached my goal size in March!

Brenda S, Maryland, 44, female (Losing using Fast-5), 8/2/2006
Just wanted to let you know that since February 27, 2006 I have lost a total of 32 pounds.  After I weighed in at my doctor's office, I headed to the mall.  Starting in the plus size section of the ladies apparel (where I have shopped for the last 21 years), a sales lady approached me and asked if she could help me.  I told her I was looking for a dress or nice outfit for an upcoming wedding in September.  She eyed me up and down several times and then said " we don't have anything in this section that would fit you". I then stated "no I always shop the plus sizes".  (I never see my 'real' self in the mirror) She again did her up and downward eye movement and pointed to the jr/misses section of the department store and said "you should find a large selection of what you are looking for, over there".  So I left and headed to the section she suggested.  I found a really cute pair of pants and headed for the fitting room.  WELL, I put them on and they fell off of me!  They were a size 12!  (mind you last November 2005- I had to purchase new pants and they were sizes 16 & 18-which were VERY snug, to say the least) So I thought these must be made big, so I grabbed a smaller size and 2 other pair of shorts & pants in a size 10 made from a different designer.  And guess what????................................................................  they were TOO BIG! Needless to say I was doing the "dance of joy" right there.  I am sure people there thought I was on drugs or just completely insane!  So I basically ran out and got 2 size 8's. Put them on and they fit perfectly!!!!! So I went and started grabbing size 8's in everything I liked (mind you these are just pants & shorts- I haven't attempted the to purchase tops yet!) Thinking to myself since they are different designers, some may not fit but they will be my next goal to get into these purchases.  When I arrived home I tried each and every pair on (15 to be exact) and all of them fit me very well !!!I have not been in this size since 1985.  I had dropped a lot of weight after my car accident, when my mouth was wired shut for 10.5 weeks!  Although that weight loss was short lived, I think I kept it off for about 6-8 months.

Just wanted to let you all know my newest success story!

An update from Brenda, 9/26/2006

I went to the doctor on Friday and I have officially lost 36 pounds. I am so pleased!!! I am comfortably wearing size 6 now (in my pant size) That is 6 sizes smaller than I was wearing this time last year.

I went to "the event of the year" here...on Saturday and saw people whom I haven't seen in 6 months to 2 years. Well, as you can probably guess, I was the topic of everyone's conversation. (you know blah, blah blah- how much weight I have lost & the word 'skinny' was repeated numerously-although I am FAR from being skinny) But the point I am trying to (eventually) get to, was everyone (including men) who ranged from 10 to 50 pounds overweight was asking me how I did it....I gave each a brief description of the concept of the lifestyle and then directed them to your website...I am told one of the first young ladies that I spoke with a couple months ago has now lost almost 30 pounds and also is a crusader for you!!!
